Ambient Gas Monitoring

TES supply world class Ambient Gas Monitoring equipment to ensure you meet spec and regulatory requirements – so you can avoid heavy fines and legal action and reduce cost of ownership.

AMBIENT GAS MONITORING

Why perform Ambient Gas Monitoring ?

The Clean Air Act requires EPA to set National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for six common air pollutants (also known as “criteria air pollutants”). These pollutants are found globally. They can harm your health and the environment, and cause property damage.

  • Particulate Matter PM
    • PM10
    • PM2.5
  • Carbon Monoxide CO
  • Sulfur Dioxide SO2
  • Nitrogen Dioxide NO2
  • Ground level Ozone O3

who needs to perform ambient gas monitoring?

This is why ambient gas monitoring is a standard licence condition required in a number of industries where there are gas emissions released into the outdoor environment. Some applications include:

  • Refineries
  • Power Plants
  • Waste Management
  • Tunnel ventilation
  • Mining
  • Research Groups
  • Governments & Authorities – Air Quality Monitoring Networks for publicly available reporting on the Air Quality Index website
  • Etc

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get local support for equipment?

All Equipment supplied by TES in Australia and New Zealand is supported by TES. We have factory trained technicians located strategically around the region and stocked spare parts. TES can assist with client Design, supply, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance if required.

Do I need a data reporting system?

TES can supply you with a standalone data acquisition and reporting system to compliment your Air Quality monitoring System (AQMS) or you can specific the outputs required from the AQMS to allow you to take the data directly into your existing plant system. Talk to us today about your specific needs.

Do these systems meet the Australian and/or International Standards for Air Quality Monitoring?

TES is the leading supplier of Air Quality Monitoring Solutions to meet international standards such as USEPA and MCERTS along with Australian & New Zealand Standards.

What is Ambient Air Quality Monitoring?

The systematic, long-term assessment of pollutant levels by detecting the concentration and kinds of particular contaminants in the surrounding, outside air is known as ambient air quality monitoring. Some of these pollutants (often referred to as “Criteria Pollutants”) are considered detrimental to human health, and their levels are regulated by government agencies all over the world, including the local and State Environmental Protection Agencies.

Government agencies, consultants, industrial facilities, and institutions all over the world rely on Thomson Environmental Systems for a complete line of ambient air quality monitoring Solutions, including those for both gas and particulate pollution, as well as calibration instruments that help ensure consistently high data capture, accuracy, and ease of operation.
